The State of Bavaria Quebec Office has a new director. As of now, Mr. Daniel Curio will be in charge of promoting the relations between Bavaria and Quebec. Trained as a jurist, he previously held the position of Deputy Head of Division Asia/Pacific, Tradefairs at the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Transportation, Infrastructure and Technology, more specifically that of Advisor responsible for the Bavarian partnership with the Chinese province of Shandong.
Daniel Curio replaces Mr. Axel Ströhlein, who returned to Munich to hold the post of Director for European Policy in the fields of Economy, Environment, Consumer Protection and Energy at the Bavarian State Chancellery.
Mr. Curio is delighted of this opportunity to further the Bavaria-Quebec Partnership. Last April, Mr. Curio had the opportunity to meet with Mr. Pierre Arcand, Quebec's new Minister for international Relations. He is impressed to see how special, close and friendly the relations between the participants are. "This is the kind of good contact we want to further develop" he added.
