The Association for Canadian Studies in German-speaking Countries held its 31st annual conference in Grainau, Bavaria, Feb. 19 to 21, 2010, on the theme Canada-Europe: cross perspectives. For 3 days, the participants were able to exchange about Canadian experiences in terms of immigration, integration, intensifying of Canada-Europe cooperation, as well as on common possible responses to transnational challenges. » Full text

On March 2nd, 2010, the Bavarian High-tech Electronics cluster located in Nuremberg received the award 'Competence Network 2010' on German federal scale. Bavarian State Secretary of Economics Katja Hessel: "I congratulate the Bavarian High-tech Electronics cluster upon receiving this award. This demonstrates the excellency of Bavarian clusters even on a federal level and illustrates that Metropolitan Nuremberg is one of the best high-tech locations of Germany."
