Founded in 2006 to promote research and science, the Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR), located in Munich, supports Bavarian researchers and developers in the conception, financing and realization of European research projects. Having recently been integrated into the Bavarian Research Alliance, the Coordination Center for International Research Co-operation, which cooperates especially with Quebec and Canada, forms an autonomous division within BayFOR. The centre offers its scientific, organizational and financial expertise to Bavarian researchers of all disciplines and to their international research partners by helping to initiate and to coordinate joint research activities.
