The mission of our office
The State of Bavaria Québec Office, located in Montreal, has the mandate of officially representing the Bavarian Government in the Province of Quebec within the framework of the cooperation agreement signed between the State of Bavaria and the Province of Quebec in January 1989.
Within this framework, the Office has the mandate of coordinating, promoting and developing projects in the following domains:
• Politics and Administration
• Economy
• Science, Technology and Environment
• Culture and Education
The State of Bavaria Québec Office also has the mandate of promoting economic and technological exchanges with the various Canadian provinces.
Support to Bavarian Businesses
As part of the promotion of Bavarian foreign trade and technological cooperation, the State of Bavaria Québec Office is the first contact point for Bavarian enterprises interested in doing business in Canada.
The Office provides information and advices to Bavarian enterprises in their efforts to penetrate this important export market and to set up and develop distribution networks in Canada.
In addition to giving specific information about economic sectors, the State of Bavaria Québec Office can offer particularly valuable contacts to partner institutions. Through its extensive contact network, it can provide concrete assistance in the search for suitable partners in the commerce and industry sectors.
Support to Canadian businesses
The State of Bavaria Québec Office can assist Canadian enterprises by giving information about the Bavarian economy and its various sectors.
In cooperation with Invest in Bavaria, an investment and location marketing unit of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology, it provides concrete help in planning a stay program and organizing meetings with local institutions, professional associations, chambers of commerce, as well as in establishing contacts with potential partner companies in Bavaria.
Support is also provided to Canadian enterprises wishing to establish strategic alliances or an industrial cooperation in Bavaria.
