General Information

Purpose and legal basis for the processing of personal data

Purpose of processing is the fulfillment of public responsibilities as assigned by the legislator, in particular informing the public.

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data, unless indicated otherwise, is Section 4 Subsection 1 Bavarian Data Protection Act (BayDSG) in connection with Section 6 Subsection 1 Subsection 1 e General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO). According to such, we are authorized to process data required for us to fulfill our responsibilities.

You can withdraw your consent anytime and decide to stop transmitting your data via clicking the appropriate button on the homepage (Opt-In procedure).

On our website, you also find social bookmarks. Those buttons are displayed with no link to the servers of Facebook, Twitter, Google, etc. Only once you click those icons will the link be established, and you will be transfered to the provider’s page.

In order to save the user’s preferences, we use a cookie which registeres your settings. In installing this cookie, we do not save personal data: only anonymised information to adapt the Browser settings. Following up, the videos will be active and can be played by the user. User behavior analysis programs are used anonymously. Your IP address is rendered anonymous, then evaluated by us or transmitted to third parties for evaluation. You can deactivate this function in your browser settings.

Information you are sending to us via email and unencrypted may be read by third parties when such information is transmitted to us. In general, we are not able to verify your identity and do not know who is behind an email address. Legally compliant communication is thus not guaranteed via unencrypted emails. We – like many email providers – use a SPAM filter against unsolicited advertising that in rare cases also automatically classifies regular emails as such unsolicited advertising and deletes them. Emails that contain malicious programs (“viruses”) are automatically deleted by us in any case.

If you would like to send us messages worthy of protection, we recommend encrypting and signing such emails to prevent unauthorized access and falsification when such emails are being transmitted or to send us such messages using conventional mail.

PGP-encrypted emails for us may be sent using the following email address (poststelle@stmwi.bayern.de). The required PGP communication key (public key) may be requested from the central PGP key server of the network of Bavarian authorities at “pgp-keysever.bayern.de.” Information for the encryption software “Gpg4win” which is available for free download and which was developed on behalf of the Federal Office for Information Security may be obtained at www.gpg4win.de. Pictures and video recordings 

In line with press and public relations, pictures are taken and videos are recorded at events and meetings, and you may be recognizable in such.
